Angus & Julia Stone

Angus & Julia Stone are a brother and sister duo from Newport, Australia. At a very young age, she joined the school band led by her father. There Julia played the trumpet, Angus the trombone and their older sister, Catherine, the saxophone.

They first emerged in 2006 with their EP Chocolate and Cigarettes ( Independiente Records) in appearance. They are now with EMI under contract. They play a mix of folk and blues and singer-songwriter. Their song Big Jet Plane won the first place in Triple J's Hottest 100 in 2010. Starting with the Australian festival tour Big Day Out and Falls Festival in summer 2011, they launched a tour of Europe and play on some European festivals.
