Aniline point

The aniline point (AP ) is an orientation about the aromatics and is a widespread specified parameter for lubricants.

Determination

He is the temperature ( in ° C), in which a single phase by heating and thus become clear mixture of equal parts by volume of a lubricant or lubricant or oil becomes cloudy again with aniline upon cooling through segregation.

The higher the aromatic content of the oil tested, the lower is the aniline point.
