AnimagiC

The AnimagiC is one of the largest German Anime Conventions ( event for manga and anime fans ) and is organized by the publisher of the magazine AnimaniA.

Development

The event was held for the first time in summer 1999 in the Rhein- Mosel-Halle in Koblenz place where it was held annually until 2005. Due to increasing visitor numbers, the meeting space was also the castle of Koblenz, two cinemas and the "Circus Maximus ", a Koblenz disco, expanded over the years.

Since 2006, the event, held on the basis of the removal of a electoral castle to Koblenz by a change of ownership, in the Beethoven Hall in Bonn.

Program

The program offers three days in addition to Japanese popular culture (J- Rock, Visual Kei, Cosplay ) and video rooms, a cinema, a dealer's room, Bring & Buy items ( flea market ), show acts, Japanese guests, role playing, character classes, concerts and much more.

Guests of honor famous people ( signatories, directors, etc. ) of various anime studios or mangaka and singer / interior can be offered in each year. Among the most famous visitors was Tadashi Ozawa ( free animator at Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Castle in the Sky, Akira and Record of Lodoss War ), which held a drawing workshop with selected visitors in the years 2000 to 2006.

Games manufacturers such as Nintendo, Square Enix, Namco Bandai and Capcom present on the AnimagiC current video games, including for example, in 2012, Resident Evil 6 as Germany Premiere.

On the main stage in the Great Hall of the Beethoven Hall, among others, a cosplay competition AnimagiC takes place, in which not only the implementation of the costume especially the incarnation of the character shown in the foreground.
