Animal shelter

A shelter or animal sanctuary is a non-profit organization that serves the animal welfare and is usually operated privately, especially by animal welfare groups.

Tasks and objectives

Animal shelters are primarily the accommodation of homeless domestic animals as well as their short-to medium-term referral to private individuals.
