Animosity (band)

Animosity ( in German: enmity, hostility ) was an American deathcore band from San Francisco ( California).

Biography

Founded back in 2000 Animosity published three years later than the former band members just 16 and 17 years old had her first studio album Shut It Down.

In 2005 the second album Empires released on Metal Blade Records and they toured with Origin and Malevolent Creation by the United States.

The third studio album was produced by Kurt Ballou Animal, guitarist for Converge, and was released in October 2007. Shortly after, the band toured Converge with Europe.

In the spring of 2008 left Navene Koperweis (drums) the band to " take a break ". On the following tour, he was replaced by Bret Batdorf. In June 2008, however Koperweis returned to the band.

Due to their long existence band included Animosity next to bands like All Shall Perish, Job for a Cowboy and Burning Skies both the co-founders and forefathers of the Deathcore, as well as the most influential bands of this genre.

For the resolution in October 2009, said singer Leo Miller, the band have been lately either together in the rehearsal room or new songs had taken.

Style

The music style of the band is assigned to the technical deathcore, also a high level of skill of the band members on their instruments is recognized.
