Anita Carter

Anita Carter ( born March 31, 1933, Maces Springs, Virginia; † 29 July 1999) was an American country and folk singer.

Anita was the youngest daughter of Maybelle Carter. Together with her ​​two sisters, June and Helen she has already participated as a child performances by the Carter Family. After the original Carter Family was dissolved in 1943, Maybelle and her daughters made ​​under the name of Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters on. Later, June, Helen and Anita were alone on the Carter Family, often as part of the Johnny Cash Show.
