Anita Lizana

Anita Lizana de Ellis ( born November 19, 1915 in Santiago de Chile, † August 21, 1994 ) was a tennis player from Chile.

She won in 1937 the U.S. Tennis Championships (now the U.S. Open). In the final game in Forest Hills, she won against the Polish Jadwiga Jędrzejowska with 6:4 and 6:2. So she was the first and only up to the present Chilean, who won a Grand Slam tournament in women's singles.
