Anja Andersen ( * February 15, 1969 in Odense, Denmark ) is a former Danish handball player and current handball coach.

Her parents Keld and Vivi played in the Danish Handball national teams, so that Anja had come from an early age with the sport in conjunction. Even at times players Anja Andersen earned the reputation as the enfant terrible of Danish handball. Even as a trainer she came repeatedly because of excessive expressions of discontent on the front page of it attentive Danish tabloids. However, their success as a trainer confirm their popularity.

Coaching career

When she had to end her career prematurely due to serious heart problems in 1999, she was coach of the second division clubs Slagelse FH. The rise succeeded right away, and the team developed under Anja Andersen's leadership quickly becoming one of the best in women's handball world. She managed to bring some of the best handball players in the country to Slagelse, including its former national team colleague Janne Kolling. Slagelse FH (located in " Slagelse DT " renamed ) won the 2003 Danish championship for the first time.

2006 Anja Andersen Serbian national coach. After Serbia has successfully qualified against the World Cup runners- Romania for the European Championship in 2006, she was the office due to discrepancies with the Association again.

In the summer of 2008 Slagelse DT Andersen moved from FCK to Handbold. The manner in which this change took place, the star trainer brought a lot of criticism. Practically the entire first set left Slagelse, some players signed contracts with FCK. The main sponsors went with with Andersen. In the main round of the Champions League 2008 Slagelse approached with a B- team and was no longer competitive.

After she finished her coaching positions at FCK in summer 2010, she took over in February 2011 as coach of the Romanian club CS Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea. After a month of work as a trainer she was released. In summer 2011 she was admitted to the coaching staff of the men's team Viborg HK. After Andersen had finished their work in Viborg, she took over the summer of 2012 as coach of the U-18 girls team from HC Odense.
