Anja Dittmer

Anja Dittmer ( born September 22, 1975 in Neubrandenburg, GDR ) is a former German duathlete, triathlete and Olympian of the years 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012.

Career

Anja Dittmer finished high school and then learned Bauzeichnerin. Since November 2001 she has been sporting a soldier in the sports promotion group Mainz, where she currently holds the rank of Staff Sergeant.

In 1992 she competed in her first triathlon since 1998, she was a professional triathlete. In 1993, she was already in the youth class win victory in the German Championship triathlon as well as duathlon. From 1995 to 2000, she was trained by Andreas Barth. This was followed by 2002 Thomas Springstein, who then got into doping allegations, which is why they changed their coach again. Since 2003, she has been trained by Ralf Ebli.

In 2001 Anja Dittmer suffered a stress fracture, which is why they could not participate in the World and European Championships. In 2004 she won the World Cup of the International Triathlon Union (ITU ) and in 2006 they finished third.

1996, 1997, 1998, she was of the German Triathlon Union ( DTU) appointed to the triathlete of the year. She started for the SC Neubrandenburg and was a member of the elite team of the German Triathlon Union. In 2012 she qualified with Svenja Bazlen and Anne Haug for a place at the Olympic Games in London - and launched after 2000, 2004 and 2008, the fourth time for Germany. She completed the race over the Olympic distance with a time of 2:01:38.00 and thus was Twelfth by Anne Haug. In December 2013, she ended her active career and was then junior coach at Olympic Training Centre Potsdam.

Her brother is the canoeist Andreas Dittmer.
