Anja Hitzler

Anja Hitzler ( born February 16, 1983 in Welzheim ) is a German archer.

Life

Hitzler came in 1993 during a project week at their school with the archery in contact. Under federal coach Franz tree and Viktor Bachmann found after the peak in the German archery. In 1999, she finished fourth at the Junior European Championships. Two years later she won with the team at the Junior European Championships in Croatia Poreč the gold medal.

To be able to practice their sport professionally, she joined on 1 October 2002 as a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr. Since 2008 she is a member of the sports promotion group Potsdam, trained in federal and state support point for archery in Welzheim and starts for the SGI Welzheim.

In 2004, she took in Athens for the first time in the Olympic Summer Games and arrived with the German team in the team competition in seventh place. In 2007 she became a member of the German team in Izmir Vice World Champion. In its second part in the Olympics at the Beijing Games, she met in the round of 32 on the tournament favorite Park Sung -hyun and had to settle for 107:112 ultimately give this after long balanced fight until the last series yet clearly beaten.
