Anja Weisgerber

Anja Weisgerber ( born March 11, 1976 in Schweinfurt ) is a German politician of the CSU. In the general election in 2013, she won the direct mandate in the constituency Schweinfurt.

Life and education

After graduating from the Alexander -von- Humboldt -Gymnasium Schweinfurt in 1995 Anja Weisgerber studied from 1995 to 2000 Law at the Bavarian Julius -Maximilians- University of Würzburg and the University of Lausanne and graduated with the first state exam. In 2003 she passed the second state examination and received his PhD on " Parliamentary committees of inquiry ".

2003 Anja Weisgerber worked at Price Waterhouse Coopers Veltins lawyer mbH in Munich and from 2004 as a lawyer in Schweinfurt.

Anja Weisgerber is married Protestant and Carsten Deibel. 2011 was their daughter into the world; 2013 their son was born. Anja Weisgerber former Bavarian champion in tennis.

Policy

Anja Weisgerber was from 1995 to 1997 in the district executive committee member of the Junge Union (JU ) Schweinfurt country. In 1997 she founded the JU- Ortsverband Schwebheim. From 1999 to 2009 she was Deputy Chairman of the JU district of Lower Franconia. Since 2009 she is the district chairman of the Women's Union ( FU) of Lower Franconia. She is a member of the State Executive Committee of the SME Union (MU ) and the Protestant Working Group (EAK ), vice chairwoman of the Working Group Environment and Spatial Planning of the CSU and deputy chairwoman of the Women's Union in Bavaria. Since 2003, Weisgerber member of the CSU district executive committee, since 2009 a member of the executive committee of the CSU since 2011 and county chairman of the CSU Schweinfurt country.

On 13 June 2004 Weisgerber was elected to the European Parliament, where she belonged to the European Union Parliamentary Friendship Group.

  • Substitute for the Delegation for relations with Canada
  • Vice - Chairman of the Parliament circle means the state of the EPP Group in the European Parliament
  • Chairman of Osteoporosis Interest Group

Even in the period from 2009 until her retirement from the European Parliament on October 21, 2013 Weisgerber served in the same committees and delegations.

In October 2012 Weisgerber was elected CSU candidate for the direct mandate in the Bundestag constituency Schweinfurt for the federal election of 2013. On September 22, 2013, it was able to win this direct mandate.
