Anjalankoski

Anjalankoski [ ɑnjɑlɑŋkɔski ] is a formerly independent city in southeastern Finland. It was created in 1975 as a market town ( kauppala ) from the merger of the municipalities Anjala and Sippola and received two years later, the city law. 2009 Anjalankoski was incorporated along with Kuusankoski, Valkeala, Jaalah and Elimäki in the city of Kouvola.

Anjalankoski located in the countryside in the middle reaches of the River Kymi Kymi. The administrative city of Anjalankoski covered an area of 752.92 km ². But It was not a structured urban area, rather Anjalankoski consisted of the three population centers ( taajama ) MYLLYKOSKI, Inkeroinen and Anjala and surrounding rural areas. Furthermore, metal processing and chemical industries have settled. Myllykoski is also the home of the Finnish football champion Myllykosken Pallo -47 (usually abbreviated MyPa ) of 2005.
