Anjeza Shahini

Anjeza Shahini ( born May 4, 1987 in Tirana) is an Albanian pop singer. As the first representative of Albania took in 2004 with the song The Image of You at the Euro Vision Song Contest.

At the age of 16 years Anjeza participated in the talent show Ethet e së Premtes Mbrëma. Together with the singer Klajdi Musabelliu she wore in the final in front of the piece You're the One That I Want from Grease, which earned her the victory.

After this success, she took in December 2003 at Festivali i Këngës, a song festival of the Albanian state-owned television TVSH part. With the song Imazhi Yt (your picture) Anjeza was chosen by the viewers and the jury as the winner. The melody of the song comes from Edmond Zhulali, the original Albanian Agim Doçi. As winner of the Festivali i Këngës they also qualified for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul.

For the European competition Imazhi Yt her song was translated into English. Thus, the four and a half minute original corresponded to the contest rules, the song had to be cut to three minutes, which was achieved in part by a faster rhythm. Shahini qualified with her ​​presentation for the final on 12 May 2004. European audiences gave her 106 points, which she finished in seventh place until 2012, the best result of an Albanian participant.

In 2005 she signed a contract with the Vienna management company ICTM. In 2005 took part in the Anjeza Festivali i Këngës. NDAL With the song Pse? ( Why stop? ) But they did not make it into the top three. 2006 studied and worked in Vienna on her first album. In September 2007, she finished her pop, rock and jazz music studies and returned to Albania with the intention to continue working on their career.

In summer 2008, she released her first album, which bears the name Erdhi momenti. Were composed the songs of the album by Adrian Hila and her older sister Bela. Among the songs Erdhi Momenti and Lot Pendimi music videos were produced.

In 2009 she reached the Festivali i Këngës with the song nE pasqyrë ( In the Mirror ), composed by Sokol Marsi, the second place. In December 2012, she reached with the song Love on Festivali i Këngëss turn to second place.
