Anjo (Japanese安 城市, -shi ) is a city in Aichi Prefecture. The name means something like Anjo safe lock and comes from the castle now no longer exists. The city is located south-east of Nagoya and is bordered to the east by Okazaki. The city area is very flat and monotonous landscape. We are especially famous, the two major companies in the automotive supply industry, Denso and Aisin, which have factories or headquartered in Anjo. Nicknamed Japanese Denmark Anjo received by the theme park Denpark which Denmark has as a theme. A well-known festival is the Anjo Tanabata Matsuri (安城 七夕 祭り, Star Festival ), each of which (unlike the rest of Japan) takes place in August and lasts three days.
