Ann Curtis

Ann Curtis Cuneo ( born March 6, 1926 in San Francisco, † June 26, 2012 in San Rafael ( California)) was an American swimmer.

In her career she won 34 U.S. Swimming Championships, a record, the only Tracy Caulkins could surpass 1981. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 it was over 400 m freestyle and the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay Olympic champion and also won the silver medal in the 100 m freestyle.

After these games, she ended her career and opened a swimming school.

1944 Curtis was awarded the Sportsman of the Year Award from the Associated Press.
