Ann Hampton Callaway

Ann Hampton Callaway (* May 30, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American composer, singer and actress. She is known for composing and sung by her title song of the TV series "The Nanny" and for her role in the musical " Swing! ", For which she was awarded the Theatre World Award.

Life and work

She is the daughter of Shirley Callaway, a pianist and voice teacher from New York. Her father, John Callaway was a famous journalist from Chicago.

She gained fame as a composer of songs for the TV series "The Nanny", the title song, " The Nanny Named Fran" is their most famous composition. She has written songs for Barbra Streisand and is represented with their compositions on six albums of Streisand.
