Ann Mollo

Margaret Ann Mollo ( born 1933 ) is a British stage designer, garden designer and model. For the scene image in The French Lieutenant's, she was awarded an Oscar nomination.

Life and work

From 1956 to 1966 Ann Mollo was married to the costume designers and military historian John Mollo.

1973 Ann Mollo designed for the first time set the stage for a feature film: the British horror satire theater of horror. Until the 1990s it was involved in numerous film productions as a set designer and Setausstatter. For their cooperation in the production of the film The French Lieutenant's she was nominated in 1982, together with art director Assheton Gorton for an Oscar in the category Best Art Direction. In addition, she worked as a model. Notoriety she gained by After Eight commercial producer Richard Lester.

After her career in the film business, dedicated to the horticultural minor. Which is romantically decorated with roses, lilies and a gothic arbor your own garden, has been awarded several times and featured in gardening magazines. She is active as a garden designer and often draws on elements such as trellises, arches, obelisks and pergolas to pattern gardens.

Mollo lives with her partner, the production designer Jon Bunker, in Notting Hill.

A portrait photo of her is in the National Portrait Gallery in London. It was taken in 1969 by photographer and Production Designer Michael Seymour ( b. 1932 ).
