Ann Ormonde

Ann Ormonde ( born January 20, 1935 in Kilmacthomas, County Waterford) is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician.

Ormonde was educated at University College Dublin, where he received a Master of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Higher Diploma of Education and a Diploma in Vocational Guidance. After completing her studies, she has been working as a career counselor.

In 1985 Ormonde was elected in constituency Rathfarnham for Fianna Fáil in the Dublin County Council. In the years 1991 and 1999 was their re-election. After the dissolution of the Dublin County Council 1994, she was now the South Dublin County Council. In addition, she was a member of the General Council of County Councils.

In the years 1987, 1989, 1992 and 1997, she stood as a candidate in elections to Dáil Éireann for their party in the constituency of Dublin South. She succeeded, however, never to win a mandate. Instead, Ormonde was elected to the Seanad Éireann in 1993.
