Ann Rutherford

Ann Rutherford ( born November 2, 1917 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, † June 11, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California ) was an American actress.

Life

Her father, John Rutherford was a singer at the Metropolitan Opera and her mother Lillian Mansfield was an actress. Even as a five year old, she made her stage debut. In 1935 she went to Hollywood and made ​​her first film Waterfront Lady. Her breakthrough as an actress she managed in 1939, when Scarlett's little sister Carreen, in Gone with the Wind. On the side of Mickey Rooney, she starred in the Andy Hardy movies. Since the 1950s, Rutherford was almost exclusively seen in several television series, as they mainly took care of their children. Your last major public appearance was in October 2004 to Margaret Mitchell's birthday party in Jonesboro, Georgia. Ann Rutherford has a star on the Walk of Fame in 1976 and retired from acting back.
