Anna Abreu
Anna Eira Margarida Mourão de Melo e Abreu (born 7 February 1990 in Vantaa ) is a Finnish pop and R & B singer. She became known in 2007 through their participation in the third season of Idols, a Finnish version of the talent show Pop Idol, in which she finished second.
Career
Anna Abreu came in 1990 as the second child of Paulo Abreu Liisa and to the world. Her father is Portuguese and lives in Sintra, where Anna as a small child also lived for some time. However, the majority of her life she spent with her four- year-older brother Emil in their Finnish mother in Vantaa. She is a student at the Sibelius lukio, a company specializing in music and dance school in Kruununhaka, Helsinki.
In 2006, she applied for the participation in the third idol - season, which took place in spring 2007. Your place in the final shows it secured with the presentation of Broken by Seether feat. Amy Lee, who earned her 80 % of the audience votes. However, in the last final show she succumbed to Ari Koivunen, who won with 57% of the audience votes against them. Nevertheless, she received a record deal with Sony BMG.
On 26th June 2007 their first single End of Love was presented at NRJ Finland, the eighth place achieved in the sequence in the Finnish single charts. On 22 August 2007 she appeared after her self named debut album, which reached platinum status. Anna Abreu debuted at number one on the Finnish album charts and displaced while Ari Koivunens debut, which had been held for twelve weeks at the top position until then. On 20 December 2007, the album went double platinum with over 86,000 units sold.
End of October 2007 they released their second single, Ivory Tower, which debuted at number five in the Finnish single charts. In January 2008 they finally docked a third single from, Are You Ready, a cover version of the Australian girl group Shakaya.
When Emma Gaala 8 March 2008 Anna Abreu received the Emma as "Best Female Artist ". She was also in the categories "Best Pop Album ", "Best Debut Album ", " Best Single " ( End of Love ) and the Audience Award for "Best Finnish Artist " nominated.

Their fourth single Vinegar Anna Abreu published on 31 July 2008 as a download and on CD on August 6. The accompanying album Now was followed on 22 October 2008. Both album and single reached number one in the Finnish charts, the album was awarded in the same year for over 50,000 sales with platinum. According to statistics compiled by IFPI Finland it was the best selling album in Finland in 2008 of a national artist.
On 6 October 2008, the promo single Silent Despair was also published.
Beginning of 2009, announced her label Sony BMG, that it is in the same year released their third album. The Single Music Everywhere it was published on 10 August, the album then appeared on 21 October under the title Just a Pretty Face? in Finland. Even after a day the album went gold status for 23,000 units sold. It debuted at number two on the Finnish album charts and became her third platinum-selling album.
End of August 2010 Anna Abreu wrote on her Facebook page that she had, started work on their fourth album, Rush. The first single Hysteria appeared on 10 January 2011. The album was released on March 30 of the year and became the third number-one album of the singer.
2012, they announced a break from music. Previously, still appeared a greatest hits album and Anna Abreu went on their over- & -out farewell tour.
