Anna Geislerová

Anna Geislerová ( born April 17, 1976 in Prague ) is a Czech actress.

Life

Than 13 - year-old was discovered by director Geislerová already Ondřej Trojan. He cast her in his 1990 film Pějme PISEN dokola. Her first starring role was only a year later in Requiem per panenku by Filip Renc. In the 1990s, it developed into one of the most popular Czech actresses, which is present in the movies like on TV. She was previously nominated six times for the Czech film prize Bohemian lion and won him four times for her roles in The Return of the Idiot by Saša Gedeon (2000), Zelary by Ondřej Trojan (2004), The season of happiness Bohdan Sláma (2006) and Beauty in Trouble by Jan Hřebejk. For the season of happiness she also received the Best Actor award at the San Sebastián Film Festival.

She was also seen in 1994, directed by Academy Award winner Jan Svěrák in Jízda. The film won the 1995 Grand Prize of the International Film Festival of Karlovy Vary. In 2001 she won a role in the German production Swimming Pool - Death celebrating with. In 2003, she played in the German production SuperTex by Jan Schütte. As early as 1993 it belonged to the ensemble cast of the Italian television production Fantaghirò Princess III.

At the Berlinale 2004, she was awarded the European Shooting Star. In 2010 she was a jury member for the Shooting Star Awards 2010, presented jointly with Stellan Skarsgård at the Berlinale 2010, the winner.

Anna Geislerová is married to the director Zdeněk Janáček. From the relationship came from a daughter and a son. Her sister ester is also an actress, her other sister Lenka is a singer.
