Anna Grabka

Anna Grabka (* 1961 in Szczecin ) is a Polish ballet dancer, ballet master and choreographer.

Life

Grabka received at the age of six years, the first ballet lessons at age 10 she came to the National Ballet School in Warsaw and made his debut at age 11 in the role of Clara in the Warsaw National Theatre Teatr Wielki in The Nutcracker. From 1980 to 1985 she was a principal dancer in the ballet of the National Theatre in Warsaw. During this time she completed a training in ballet pedagogy at the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, where, after five years of study a master's thesis in Dance Education anfertigte ( The exercises in the areas of pelvic floor exercises, yoga, stretching, Pilates, Barre à terre to recover the shape and condition of the classical dancer after childbirth ).

From 1985 to 2001 Anna Grabka worked as a principal dancer with the Hamburg Ballet Hamburg State Opera, conducted by John Neumeier. From 2001, she worked as guest principal dancer and ballet mistress at the Hamburg Ballet.

In addition to practicing as a ballet mistress Grabka is also scientifically active. Since 2000 she is also a guest lecturer at the Music Academy in Warsaw. Since early 2007 she has worked as ballet mistress and music coach at the Royal Swedish Ballet.

As a guest educator, she taught at various ballet companies in the EU include: the Royal Swedish Ballet, English National Ballet, Bavarian State Opera, Northern Ballet Theatre, Dance Company Stefan Thoss, Finnish National Ballet, Het National, and Gothenburg Opera Borg.

Anna Grabka is divorced and has two children.
