Anna Lo

Anna Manwah Lo ( born June 16, 1950 in Hong Kong ) is a Northern Irish politician.

Lo withdrew in 2007 as the first born in Asia, Chinese in a European Parliament and as the first person with an immigrant background, in the Northern Ireland Assembly, for the Alliance Party of Northern Ireland, the Belfast South constituency one. Lo was born in Hong Kong and moved to early 70s at that time with her husband, a journalist from the Belfast Telegraph first to London and later in 1974 to Northern Ireland. Was made possible by these uncomplicated move a passport of the former colony of Hong Kong. In the following years she worked as a social worker and committed themselves publicly against racism. She is a board in the Northern Ireland Chinese Welfare Association. Your children moved away from Northern Ireland and she lives there still with her second husband.
