Anna Ottosson

Anna Ottosson ( born May 18, 1976 in Frösön ) is a former Swedish alpine skier. She specializes in the disciplines of giant slalom and slalom.

Biography

Ottosson won in 1991 at the Trofeo Topolino. Since 1995 she drove in the Alpine Skiing World Cup and was one of the world's best engineers. In the years 1998 to 2000, she reached four podiums. Their only World Cup races she won on 23 January 2000 the giant slalom in Cortina d' Ampezzo. In March 2002, she was second in the giant slalom in Altenmarkt. In the following years they rode in the World Cup regularly among the top fifteen, but it took five years to them in March 2007 in the slalom of Zwiesel - as a second behind Marlies Schild and ex aequo with Sarka Záhrobská - again stood on the podium.

Similar to the World Cup to present their results at World Championships and Olympic Games, where she was able to classify in the top 10 eight times. As Bestresulatat was until now the 5th place in the slalom at the 2003 World Championships in St. Moritz. But at the Olympic Winter Games in 2006 she went in the giant slalom, the fastest time in the second run and won the bronze medal. On the way home World Cup 2007 in Åre, she won with the Swedish team the silver medal in the team competition. After the 2006/ 07 season, she finished her career.
