Anna Salome of Manderscheid-Blankenheim

Anna Salome von Manderscheid - Blankenheim ( * December 12, 1628, † March 15, 1691 ) was from 1648 to 1688 abbess of the woman pin Thorn and from 1688 to her death Abbess of Essen.

Life

Anna Salome received in 1640, with her three- years-younger sister Clara Elisabeth von Manderscheid - Blankenheim, prebends in the pen Thorn, a few years later also in food. Anna Salome was a very educated for that time woman who left a private library of over 100 books. The list includes books on political, legal, geographical, historical, and even medical titles. Anna Salome reigned in their pens itself, they even hand written legal briefs for the Essen pen.
