Anna Smashnova
Anna Smaschnowa (Russian Анна Смашнова, * July 16, 1976 in Minsk, Soviet Union, now Belarus ) is a former Israeli tennis player.
Career
At the age of six years Smaschnowa started with the sport of tennis. Your preferred lining was the clay court.
She was number one in the Soviet junior at the age of ten years. At 14, she won the 1989 national championship of juniors.
1990 was Freddy Krivine, founder of the Israel Tennis Center, the family Smaschnowa convince to emigrate to Israel. 1991 Anna won the French Open junior interior in Paris. 1995 and 1998 they reached there in each case the knockout stages.
On the WTA Tour, she won a total of 12 singles titles and reached on 3 February 2003 with rank 15 of their best quotation in the WTA world rankings.
After the Wimbledon Championships 2007 Smaschnowa explained her retirement from professional tennis.
