Anna Watkins

Anna Rose Watkins, born as Anna Rose Bebington, ( born February 13, 1983 in Leek, Staffordshire) is a British rower. She won the 2012 Olympic gold medal in the double sculls.

Anna Bebington began in 2001 with the rowing, it occurs for the Leander Club in Henley -on-Thames on. In 2004 she won the four without coxswain at the U23 World Championships. In 2005, she appeared alternately in pairs without coxswain and aft to, at the World Championships she won with the British Eighth fifth place.

In 2006, Bebington to the sculling boats in the double sculls, along with Annie Vernon, she won the World Cup in Munich and took second place in Lucerne, at the World Rowing Championships in 2006 missed the two short of fourth place medal ranks. 2007 joined Vernon in British quadruple sculls. Bebington rowed along with Elise Laverick in the double sculls, the two won the bronze medal at the World Championships behind the boats from China and New Zealand. 2008 Bebington and Laverick won the World Cup in Poznan, at the Olympic regatta in Beijing won the New Zealanders, the British women received bronze behind the German double sculls.

After their marriage, Anna Watkins joined again in 2009 along with Annie Vernon. At the World Championships, the two won behind the Polish double sculls silver. 2010 Watkins ventured in all World Cup races in a double start double sculls and quadruple sculls, won five races and finished only once in the quadruple sculls second place. At the World Championships, she launched only in the double sculls and won the title along with Katherine Grainger. 2011 Watkins and Grainger were victorious in two World Cup races and at the World Championships. The following year, they won all three World Cup regattas and the final at the Olympic Games in 2012.
