Annals of Internal Medicine

Annals of Internal Medicine, abbreviated Ann. Intern. Med, is a scientific journal published by the American College of Physicians (ACP). The first issue appeared in July 1927. During the first decades of the magazine was published monthly since July 1988 two volumes appear each month. Published papers, reviews, guidelines for medical practice and comments that deal with clinical practice, public health, medical education, ethics, and research methods. The journal provides open access to selected articles, the developing countries have a complete free access to the journal.

The Impact Factor was in 2012 at 13.976. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge, the journal impact factor with this in the category of General and Internal Medicine is ranked sixth out of 151 journals.

Chief editor Christine Laine, who is employed at the magazine and holds the position of Senior Vice President in the ACP.
