Annamarie Jagose

Anna Marie Rustom Jagose (* 1965 in Ashburton ) is a New Zealand author and associate professor at the Department of Media Studies ( "Film, Television and Media Studies ") of the University of Auckland.

Life

Jagose taught by her doctorate (PhD) at Victoria University in Wellington from 1992 to 2003 at the University of Melbourne feminist theory and gay and lesbian studies.

In addition to numerous scientific publications, she has published the novel In Translation, for which she was awarded the 1994 PEN with the "Award for the best literary debut ."

In 1996 she appeared now to become a standard work book Queer Theory ( in Germany appeared in the cross- Verlag, 2001).
