Anne Dorthe Tanderup

Anne Dorthe Tanderup ( born April 24, 1972 in Aarhus ) is a former Danish handball player.

Career

Tanderup played in Denmark Brabrand IF. After the backcourt player was at the Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich Austria at the beginning of the 1990s, active, she returned to Denmark and played for Viborg HK.

Tanderup played 88 international matches for the Danish women's handball national team, in which they scored 180 hits. With Denmark in 1996, she won the Olympic gold medal. They also won the European Championship in 1994 and 1996, and 1997 World Cup. In the 1997 World Cup, Anne Dorthe Tanderup injured so severely on the knee that she had to end her career at the age of 25 years.

Private

Anne Dorthe Tanderup is married to the former professional cyclist Bjarne Riis. With her husband and their four common sons, she lives in Lugano.
