Anne Kristen
Anne Kristen ( born March 7, 1937 in Glasgow, † August 7, 1996 in Edinburgh) was a Scottish actress.
Life
The daughter of an editor of the Glasgow Herald began after completion of the Laurel Bank High School studied acting at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where she was awarded in her final year with the Gold Medal of the Academy. Thus they recommended for an immediate commitment at the prestigious Citizen Theatre in Glasgow. There, she played Eliza Dolittle in George Bernard Shaw's My Fair Lady, the Lady Teazle under the direction of the same age Albert Finney, the Joan of Arc and the Arnold Wesker's Roots in Beatie. She played for other Scottish stages like the 7:84 Company and also appeared several times at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival. Most of the time her stage career, she worked at Scottish theaters, seldom do they also occurred in the south of the country, such as the Nottingham Playhouse or at the National Theatre.
In addition, Anne Kristen came often in television films and series episodes. She starred in Taggart, Wings, Hamish Macbeth and Spiols of War. A high degree of popularity she reached through her portrayal of Norma Sullivan in the BBC series Casualty.
Kristen Anne was married to fellow actor Iain Cuthbertson. However, the marriage ended in divorce. The actress died on 7 August 1996 at the age of 59 years to cancer.
