Anne Robinson

Anne Josephine Robinson ( born September 26, 1944 in Crosby ) is a British journalist and television presenter. She is known primarily as a quiz show host of the show The Weakest Link.

Life

Robinson's father was a teacher, her mother came from Ireland, where she ran a market stall. Robinson grew up in Crosby Beach and attended boarding school in Hampshire.

Newspaper

After school, Robinson first worked for a news agency and graduated in 1967 as an intern at the Daily Mail. When she with Charlie Wilson, the deputy editor, entered into a liaison and this eventually married in 1968, she had to leave the newspaper and moved to The Sunday Times.
