Anne Vernon
Anne Vernon ( born January 7, 1924 in Saint- Denis, Seine- Saint- Denis ) is a French actress.
In the film, she made her debut in 1948 in the title role of Warning to Wantons and is famous in 1951 with the title role of Caroline in Jacques Becker's Edouard and Caroline. Star in the entertainment cinema of the 1950s, especially her role as Catherine Deneuve's mother Mme Emery remains in Jacques Demy's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg ( 1964) in memory. Another later success she had as a star of Mystery Murder at the Grand Hotel (1968). In 1972, she has retired from the film business.
