Anneliese Schuh-Proxauf

Anneliese shoe Proxauf, born Proxauf, ( born March 10, 1922 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian former alpine skier. She celebrated numerous victories in international races, once attended Olympic Games and World Championships three times and was four times Austrian Champion. After their ski sport union career she achieved further success in tennis and gliding. Together with her husband she founded in 1958 airline companies.

Biography

Like their one year older, sister Rosemarie came Anneliese Proxauf by their ski-loving parents to skiing. The siblings visited after the opening of Nordkettenbahn the ski school on the Seegrube whose head was her first coach. The first race in 1933, they completed the Youth Skiing at the Alpine Association. Anneliese Proxauf achieved initial success in the junior level in the second half of the 1930s, but was repeatedly thrown back in their youth by injuries.
