Annemarie Buchner

Anne Marie " Mirl " Buchner Fischer ( born February 16, 1924 in Ettal ) is a former German ski racer.

Career

Between 1944 and 1949 she won five German championships, two each in the downhill and the combination, and once it has been successful in the slalom. At the Olympic Winter Games 1952 in Oslo, based in Garmisch -Partenkirchen athlete won in the downhill silver medal, as well as in the giant slalom and the slalom bronze medal. 1954 won Mirl Buchner Fischer Hahnenkamm - giant slalom in Kitzbuehel. In 1948 she was elected to Germany's sportswoman of the year. Buchner has a shop in Garmisch (February 1993).
