Annemarie Gethmann-Siefert

Anne Marie Gethmann - Siefert (* 1945 ) is a German philosopher. She is a professor of philosophy at the University of Hagen.

Career and work focus

Gethmann - Siefert studied philosophy, art history and theology at the Universities of Münster, Bonn, Innsbruck and Bochum. Your PhD. took place in 1973 with a dissertation on Heidegger and her habilitation in 1982 with a thesis on Hegel's aesthetics at the Ruhr- University Bochum. Since 1991 she has been Professor of Philosophy at the University of Hagen. She is married to Carl Friedrich Gethmann.
