Annett Hesselbarth
Annett Hessel Barth ( * June 4, 1966 in Halle ( Saale) ) is a former German track and field athlete, who was one of the world's best 400-meter runners in the early 1990s. In 1990 she won the European Championships with the 4 x 400 - meter relay gold medal of the GDR ( 3:21,02 min, together with Grit Breuer, Manuela Derr and Petra shear Sing ). In the 400 -meter run it was at this Fourth European Championships.
Her biggest success was the first place with the German 4 x 400 -meter relay at the World Indoor Championships 1991 ( 3:27,22 min, indoor world record: Sandra Seuser, Katrin Schreiter, Annett Hessel Barth, Grit Breuer ).
At the World Championships in 1991 she was used in the flow in the German 4 x 400 - meter relay that was third in the finals. Hessel Barth started for the SC Chemie Halle ( after the end of the GDR: SV Halle). In her playing days, she was 1.76 m tall and weighed 65 kg.
