Annett Neumann

Annett Neumann ( born January 31, 1970 in Lauchhammer ) is a former German track cyclist who competed for the SC Cottbus.

1989 and 1990 was Annett Neumann winter track champion of the GDR in the sprint in 1989 also GDR champion in 500 -meter time trial. In the UCI Track World Championships 1991 in Stuttgart, she won the silver medal in the sprint, they were each World Cup second in the sprint and time trial in 1996. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, she won a silver medal in the sprint. In 1990, she also won at the prestigious Sprint Classic Grand Prix de Paris, in which it was previously came second in the year. 1997 Annett Neumann resigned as hitherto successful German sprinter from active cycling.

Annett Neumann was married to her coach and now a national coach Detlef Uibel; from the now dissolved marriage comes a daughter.
