Annfinnur í Skála

Annfinnur í Skala ( born September 20, 1941 in Tórshavn ) is a Faroese writer. He writes words and textbooks, as well as fantasy novels.

He was the son of the former auditor, mayor of Tórshavn and member of the Lagtings, Siegfried Skaale (1906-1977) and Jóhanna Skaale M. (1906, born Joensen ) was born on a farm in Tröllanes.

Annfinnur is teacher at Föroya Studentaskúla og HF Skeið, taught history, English and classical archeology. He was a member of the Faroese Institute for the care of the mother tongue and testing Commissioner at the College of Education ( Föroya Læraraskúli ) and in history from the Faroese Academy ( Fróðskaparsetur Föroya ).

Annifinnur was married and has two sons.

In 2001 he received the M. A. Jacobsen's Literature Prize ( Bókmentavirðislön MA Jacobsen ).
