Paintings by him are abundant in Bologna, Rome, Naples, Paris, London, Dresden, Berlin, Vienna and other places. Carracci was initially engraved in copper; but later he erased different leaves, despite their - generate an overall strong effect delicate appearance - by the technique of etching.

Carracci was, unlike his brother, a man of little education, but an artist who has the chief merit to the Eklektikerschule. The boldness and safety of his drawing is admirable, and reflected so academically and raw he sometimes appears, he surprised but often through a happy naivety and an almost worthy of Correggio color.

It's been stung a lot for him, especially after his numerous drawings occurring. Simon Guillain etched with the assistance Alessandro Algardi The Cries of Bologna (Le arti di Bologna), in 78 sheets ( Rome 1646, later ed 1740); same Giuseppe Maria Mitelli (Bologna 1660). The Farnese Gallery is often appeared (from Carlo Cesio, Pietro Aquila, and others), also Elementi del disegno, 30 sheets (François de Poilly ).
