Annibale Frossi

Annibale Frossi ( born August 6, 1911 in Muzzana del Turgnano, † February 26, 1999 in Milan ) was an Italian football player and coach.

Playing career

Association

1929, Frossi his career at Udinese. Two years later he moved to Calcio Padova. He joined in 1933 AS Bari and returned a year later to Calcio Padova back. In 1935, he spent a year at L' Aquila Calcio. From 1936 he played for the SS Ambrosiana Inter Milan. With Ambrosiana - Inter Frossi in Serie A was 1937/38, for the first time Italian champion. The following season he won with the Milanese the Coppa Italia. His second Masters title he won with Ambrosiana - Inter in the 1939/40 season. After his time in Milan played Frossi 1942-1943 for Pro Patria. 1945, he completed five league inserts for Como Calcio who adopt in two hits before he ended his career for good.

National

With the Italian national Frossi was Vittorio Pozzo 's Olympic Football Tournament 1936 in Berlin Olympic champion. He scored in the 2-1 win in the final for the gold medal against Austria both goals for Italy. With seven goals in four games Frossi was also top scorer of the tournament.

On April 25, 1937, he completed his fifth and final against Hungary 'A' game for the then reigning world champions Italy, scoring his eighth international goal.

Coaching career

In 1946 Frossi his coaching career at Luino Calcio. Two years later he took over for a year, the SS Mortara. From 1949 to 1953 Frossi head coach of AC Monza. After that, he coached for two years the AC Torino. In 1956 Frossi the head coach job at Inter Milan, he made again the following year. In 1958 he became coach of Genoa before it a year later for a short time coach Napoli took over. Frossi returned in 1960 for another year to Genoa back. Then he was from 1962 to 1964 at FC Modena and from 1964 to 1965 in the U.S. Triestina head coach.
