Annichen Kringstad

Annichen Kringstad ( born July 15, 1960 in Oslo ) is a former Swedish orienteer.

Kringstad is next to Simone Niggli -Luder considered the best orienteer ever. Kringstad won both the individual races and the relay at the World Championships in 1981, 1983 and 1985. Their first of four World Championships, she graduated in 1979 in Tampere, Finland and came up to ninth in the individual race. In Thun, Switzerland she finally succeeded in 1981, the first double triumph: Single she left the Norwegian Brit Volden over three minutes behind in the relay with Arja Hannu, Barbro Lönnkvist and Karin Rabe put the Swedes with a lead of over 15 minutes before the Season by Finland. Between 1978 and 1985 Kringstad won 14 Swedish championships: four in the night - OL, three on the long- distance, two on the ultra-long distance and five in the relay.

In addition, she was honored in 1981 with the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal - and Radiosportens Jerringpris and 1981 and 1985 awarded the orienteer of the year in Sweden.

Kringstad ran for the Swedish orienteering clubs Saffle OK, OK ravines and Stora Tuna IK. With Stora Tuna IK she won in 1982, 1984 and 1985, the Venlojen viesti that Tiomila she won in 1980 and 1981 with the OK ravines and 1982 and 1984 with Stora Tuna.
