Annie Cordy
Annie Cordy ( born June 16, 1928 in Brussels) is a Belgian, predominantly active in France, actress and singer.
Life
Annie Cordy took part in singing competitions as a teenager and then appeared as a singer, first in her native country, starting in 1950 also at the Lido in Paris. After she won the music competition Prix Maurice Chevalier, she quickly became a popular operetta Actress and was also involved in music and singing movies. In her later career she also received character roles in more demanding films. Parallel to her film work, which extended to television series, Annie Cordy regularly performed in musical theater.
