Annieopsquotch Mountains, a mountain range in central Newfoundland is east of Bay St. George. The mountain range reaches a height of up to 678 meters above sea level. The mountain range runs in a north - easterly direction between the Victoria Lake and the Red Indian Lake. The rock consists of 500 million years old ocean floor. Annieopsquotch means in the Micmac language " terrible rocks ".
