Another Perfect Day is the seventh studio album by the British heavy metal band Motörhead. It was released on June 4, 1983 and was the last studio album for Bronze Records, and also the only one with Brian Robertson.

Background

Guitarist Eddie Clarke left the band during the tour for the previous album Iron Fist. He was replaced by Brian Robertson (ex -Thin Lizzy ), Lemmy Kilmister the had known for some years. With him Motörhead went into the studio in March 1983 to accommodate Another Perfect Day. Robertson participated in the majority of the songs in the songwriting, which was reflected in a more melodic compared to the albums recorded by then guitar work.

During the subsequent Another Perfect Tour came to a head, as Robertson still refused to play old Motörhead titles and three consecutive times wanted to play the title song of the album Another Perfect Day at a concert in Hannover. Motörhead Then broke off the tour and returned to the UK where Kilmister and Taylor Brian Robertson threw out of the band.

Reviews

The original reviews were mixed from fans of the band did not like the album and threw the band to pursue with the album commercial interests. Later the album was called by both fans and critics " as a largely undiscovered gem " and has become one of the favorite albums of Kilmister. Eduardo Rivadavia of Allmusic called and John Franck Another Perfect Day as the " most unique (albeit misunderstood ) " album by Motörhead, the production of Tony Platt was excellent.
