Anouchka van Miltenburg

Anouchka van Miltenburg ( born April 20, 1967 in Utrecht ) is a Dutch politician of the Volkspartij voor de Vrijheid Democracy (VVD ). Since September 25, 2012 she is Chairman of the Second Chamber of the States General.

Anouchka van Miltenburg visited until their completion in 1991, the School of Journalism in Tilburg. She worked from 1991-2001 as a freelance journalist for the Brabants Dagblad and the broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS ).

From 2002 to 2003 Anouchka van Miltenburg was a municipal councilor in Zaltbommel. Since 2003 she is a member of the Second Chamber. Her work focuses there are mass media and medical ethics.

In the elections to the Chamber presidency on 25 September 2012, she ran against Khadija Arib of the Partij van de Arbeid and Gerard Schouw of Democraten 66. After the second round was eliminated Schouw. In the third ballot van Miltenburg 90 and Arib received 56 votes.

Anouchka van Miltenburg is married since 1991 with Chris Halkes and has 3 children. She is a member of the Catholic Church and lives in Zaltbommel.
