Anse-Ã -Galets

The port of Anse -à- Galets is located on the northeast side of the island Ile de la Gonâve (formerly Île de la Gonaïves ) in the Ouest Department of Haiti. It is the capital of the arrondissement (district ), which covers the entire island and comprises the two municipalities Anse -à- Galets and Pointe -à- Raquette.
2003 lived there 52,662 inhabitants in an area of 377 km ². The city is located about 50 kilometers west-north- west of the Haitian capital Port -au -Prince.
