Anselm Franz, 2nd Prince of Thurn and Taxis

Anselm Franz von Thurn und Taxis ( baptized January 30, 1681 in Brussels, † November 8, 1739 ibid ) was the second Prince of Thurn and Taxis. In the period 1714-1739 he was Head of the Imperial Empire Post as Generalerbpostmeister.

His parents were Eugene Alexander von Thurn und Taxis and Anna Adelheid of Fürstenberg - Heiligenberg. The exact date of birth is unknown. Only his baptism on 30 January 1681 the Brussels Church of Notre Dame du Sablon is occupied. Anselm Franz married Maria Ludovica 1703 Anna Lobkowicz ( born October 20, 1683 Baden, † January 20, 1750 in Regensburg ). Once under his father at the beginning of the Spanish Succession War, the headquarters of the Imperial Empire post from Brussels had been shifted to Frankfurt am Main, Anselm Franz was in 1715 after the death of the father of Charles VI. invested with the Reichspostgeneralat.
