Anselm Haverkamp

Anselm Haverkamp ( born July 18, 1943) is a German -American General Literary scientist and philosopher of the Constance school.

Biography

Haverkamp went after his habilitation in 1984 from Konstanz to Yale and forwards since 1989 at New York University as a professor of English the Poetics Institute. After 1994 Haverkamp participated as a founding professor of Literature at the structure of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt ( Oder), where he established the Heinrich-von -Kleist Institute for literature and politics. Since 2009 he has also held an honorary professorship of philosophy at the University of Munich and managed since April 2013, the Chair of Rhetoric at the University of Lüneburg.

Haverkamp was a member of poetics and hermeneutics, whose symposia volumes XIII and XV it with published since 1979.
