The rim of Ansgarius has no major signs of erosion. In the southwest, it seems rather flattened and penetrates into an older formation of the barely recognizable remains are up on the western edge. In the north- north-east wall stands a notch-like bulge outward. The interior walls are terraced. The interior floor is relatively flat and the surface is ruptured only by some mini craters.
